Above all, I am a wife to my best friend and a mommy to three beautiful and crazy girls! They sure keep me on my toes, but I wouldn’t have life any other way! Their curiosity and joy inspires me to see the art in everyday things.
While I have enjoyed photography as a hobby since childhood, my real passion for it began after I had my first child. There were so many precious moments that I wanted properly documented – a fleeting grin, a chubby knee, even a pouting lip. However, I never found any commercial studio setting to be the right location for my family portraits. We would look stiff and uncomfortable. Probably rightly so, after hauling ourselves and our kids into a waiting room in this stressful attempt to appear “perfect”.
My portraits are done with natural light and on-location in your home or an outdoor venue. My goal as a photographer is to capture true moments where you and your children are most comfortable, in a place with meaning to you. The more comfortable you are, the more likely it is that we will have fun and laugh together – letting the natural joy of your family shine through. This type of setting allows me to create treasured images that your family can enjoy for generations to come. Ultimately, I want to provide you with a fun, easy-going photo session that allows your family to be themselves while I capture you as you are today.
There will be a pre-session consultation to go over all of the details and so that you have a chance to advise me on your expectations, and I can walk you through what to wear, how to get the most out of your session, and what to do with all those images once we are done. I want to be sure we can work together to capture your memories of this moment, right now.
